The Godfather

Stars: Marlon Brando, Al Pacino and Robert Duvall
The Godfather (1972) film stars actors; Marlon Brando, Al Pacino and Robert Duvall. There are different types of categories that actors may fall into by judging the form of acting they take use of. There is method acting is based on actors using memories or personal experiences so that they may become a stronger character in the film emotionally. The stylized acting is basically a form that allows the audience to clearly know the actor is indeed acting. Realism acting is the natural flow so that the acting seems more realistic with the natural actions and reactions.
I believe that Marlon Brando falls into the stylized acting category as he is clearly seen to be acting in this film. We may see how the audience clearly may understand he is acting with the way he carries himself and speaks in the clip. This made his character more discrete to his appearance being an elder man with lots of power.
Robert Duvall has a short role in this clip where Michael is planning his attack. Robert falls into the stylized acting category as well since we see the serious gestures he creates to fulfill his roles as an actor. He allows his character to become a very strict, loyal and professional partner of the Corleone family.
Al Pacino falls into the stylized category also as he is clearly acting to be seen as a college graduate. He shows a side of the character that is not experienced in crime as he is a former college graduate and prior military. This is clear by his body language, voice and his reaction to other characters. This allowed his character to show a more sudden change later on throughout the film.
Scarface
Released in 1983
Directed by Brian De Palma
We may look at many different films that Al Pacino has acted in and realize that he continues to fall into the stylized acting category. This simply informs us that this category is quite frequently used and that Al Pacino is quite excellent when using stylized acting. We may see in the clip from the film, Scarface, that he is acting as a Cuban immigrant. He even goes about to develop an accent to support his character and his origins. This allows Al Pacino to be known as an excellent stylized actor as he performs extremely well in various character roles.
